John is an unyielding advocate dedicated to defending those injured and in need of justice. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and works out of our Austin office. John focuses his practice on motor vehicle accidents, premise liability cases, dog bites, products liability cases, and much more. John’s compassion for those who are injured combined with his determination to get the best results possible for his clients make him a valuable ally to victims seeking justice.
John was born and raised in Southeast Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. John always knew he wanted to become a lawyer, but he was also fascinated with business and the financial markets. After earning his undergraduate degree, John went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University. After his time in business and criminal law, John discovered that his education and experience prepared him to represent those who were injured and were being denied their rights. Understanding the for-profit business mindset insurance companies take, as well as the legal rights afforded to all, John fights tooth and nail for his clients.
While in law school, John began his career worked for a criminal defense firm handling cases in the Northern District of Texas. During his three-year tenure in this position, he helped successfully defend several high-profile cases that received national attention. John also spent a summer in the Litigation and Disputes Division at a prominent business consulting company.
Outside of the office, John is an active member of the professional legal community. John is in many professional organizations including the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the Austin Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. When he is not busy fighting for his clients, John enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Emma, and caring for their two dogs, Ladybird and Barli. In his spare time, John enjoys fly-fishing and hunting, as well as playing basketball.
